One of most important factors in Texas Holdem strategy is remember to play only with hands which are matching to the situation on the table. There are few factors deciding about starting hands: Let’s start from last point, it is mean - Cards Groups, we can divide them to: Next think is position, like some of our readers know we have: Groups of cards you will play depends of your position at the table:

- number of players at the table
- ranks of the cards (we can call this - Cards Groups)

Late position (including Dealer's Button)
Full table
On the late position you should play more cards. If you are on the dealer button and generally late position, at a full table (9-10 seats), you should play groups 1 - 6. If you are in middle position you should reduce starting cards to groups 1 – 4 (when you are loose player) or even to 1 – 3 (when you are tight player). Early position is reducing your starting groups to 1 – 2 (for loose player) and only 1 (for tight player)
Short hand table
When number of players drops into 4-7 players at the table, it is recommended to make game a little bit more loose, it is mean that you should play more starting hands at adequate positions. Less players mean more chances to win, but less players mean also that your turn to pay for blinds will came faster than at full tables, that is why you should make your game more loose…
Very short hand table
We can call that tables with 3 players or heads – up games, that kind of table require to be a loose player, because our too tight image, and blinds will destroy us very, very fast.
